Dr. Masschelein (he/him) is a board-certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a practice focusing on breast & body aesthetics, and a special interest in gender-affirming top surgery.
After pursuing undergraduate studies at Western University, he went on to earn his Medical Degree from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. Remaining in London, he completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Western University. With strong mentorship and support from the Reconstructive team at Western, he cultivated a passion for the intricacies, challenges, and rewards of breast and chest wall reconstructive procedures.
His experience and respect for chest and body reconstruction form the foundation of his aesthetic approach, where form, function, and emotional gravity of the surgical journey are taken into consideration to offer balanced, proportional results which strive to complement the frame for years to come.
Dr. Masschelein earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree followed by rigorous residency training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. As a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), he has extensive experience in the latest surgical techniques, including body contouring after weight loss, abdominoplasty, liposuction, breast and chest procedures, and complex reconstructive surgery.
