diVa laser therapy might sound too good to be true, but we have the answers to our patients’ biggest questions, including, how does diVa laser work? This quick (less than 10 minutes) procedure takes place in our clinic with a topical anesthetic gently applied to keep you comfortable.
Once the numbing has set in, our expert practitioner will insert the diVa wand into your vaginal canal. It stays in place and the wand rotates to ensure that the laser evenly targets the vaginal tissue.
The single-use strengthened quartz dilator expands and flattens the vaginal tissue using leading-edge hybrid laser technology to deliver two lasers at once. The first laser deeply resurfaces the layers of the vaginal wall, replacing it with healthy tissue. The second laser heats the layer of tissue where collagen exists, tightening tissues, treating urinary incontinence, and increasing elasticity.
What Can I Expect with diVa™ Laser Vaginal Therapy?
diVa laser treatments are not painful and do not require general anesthetic, but topical numbing cream keeps patients comfortable during their treatment.
