Infrared Sauna in North Vancouver, BC
A private infrared sauna, at our North Vancouver clinic.
Our infrared sauna has full-spectrum heaters (near, mid and far infrared) and sits in a private room. Sessions are 30 to 45 minutes, and dry salt can be added to the air if you'd like.

What a session is like
An infrared sauna warms you with radiant heat from heater panels rather than by heating the air, so it runs cooler than a traditional sauna, usually 49°C to 60°C (120°F to 140°F). You'll sit in the sauna and sweat as you warm up.
If you choose salt, a small device releases fine particles of dry salt into the air during your session.
Wear a swimsuit or light shorts and a tank top, and bring a towel to sit on and one for sweat. Drink water before and after your session, and avoid a heavy meal, alcohol and caffeine beforehand.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an infrared sauna, and how does it differ from a traditional sauna?
An infrared sauna warms you with radiant heat from heater panels, while a traditional sauna heats the air around you. It runs at a lower temperature, usually 49°C to 60°C (120°F to 140°F).
What is the salt option?
Salt therapy, also called halotherapy, means fine particles of dry salt are released into the air while you're in the sauna. It's optional.
Is the infrared sauna right for me?
It isn't suitable for everyone, for example if you're pregnant or have a heart or breathing condition.
How long does a typical session last, and what should I expect?
30 to 45 minutes. You'll sit in the sauna as it warms you, and you'll sweat; that's normal. If you've chosen salt, it's released into the air during the session.
What should I wear during a session?
A swimsuit or light shorts and a tank top. Bring a towel to sit on and another for sweat.
Do I need to prepare in any special way before a session?
Drink plenty of water before and after your session, and avoid a heavy meal, alcohol and caffeine beforehand.
Are there any side effects?
Some people feel lightheaded, get dehydrated or have some skin irritation. These usually pass quickly, and drinking water before and after helps.
