I Have Loose Skin in My Neck. What Are My Options?

I Have Loose Skin in My Neck. What Are My Options?

Loose skin in the neck can be a result of the aging process, excessive sun exposure or both. Depending on patient age and gender, this loose skin can be tightened in various ways. In younger female patients, a short incision facelift can tighten the neck without the need for extended incisions in the hair line. As the neck becomes excessively lax, a longer incision in the hairline allows for more substantial tightening and this is often recommended in older patients. Lastly in men, the neck skin can be removed with an incision directly in the mid line neck through a z plasty. This incision can easily be hidden with collared shits or crew neck t shirts.
