What can I do after my upper eyelid blepharoplasty? You can get back to your regular activities almost immediately after having your upper-eyelid surgery, as long as those activities aren't too strenuous. Most people can go back to general day-to-day activities as soon as the day following their procedure.

Why can't I do strenuous activities? You want to ensure you avoid strenuous activities during the healing process after your upper-eyelid surgery. This is because you need to make sure your heart rate and blood pressure remain low for at least two weeks after surgery in order to decrease the risk of bleeding under the skin.

Bleeding under the skin is one of the potential risks of upper-eyelid blepharoplasty surgery. This risk is increased when your heart rate and blood pressure rise as a result of strenuous activity.
