The final day – day 10 – of the Metagenics Clear Change Cleanse arrived yesterday, and the girls in the office were bright-eyed and in good spirits. We got the opportunity to check in with Suzanne, Natasha, and Erin, and captured their thoughts and stories in a live show, which you can watch below.

Day 10 of the Metagenics Clear Change Program

During day 10 (the final day!) of the Metagenics Clear Change program, you get to start reintroducing certain ingredients into your diet, including white rice, nuts and grains, legumes, sweeteners, and remaining fruits and vegetables that were taken out of the diet. While this is a time often looked forward to during the cleanse, it’s important to slowly reintroduce foods back into the diet; this is also a time to be aware of any reactions your body may be having.

The Biggest Improvements

  • Erin:  Prior to starting the cleanse, Erin was a huge coffee fan, which was the most challenging part of the cleanse during the first few days having to cut out caffeine and suffering from withdrawal symptoms including headaches. She also suffered from eczema breakouts, which may be related to gluten or sugar/caffeine, and she hasn’t experienced any rashes during the cleanse.
  • Natasha: Having been diagnosed with Lymphocytic colitis around the age of twenty, Natasha has noticed a huge improvement in her digestion during this cleanse. Knowing that she may have a gluten sensitivity, this cleanse has helped her to feel less bloated and increase her water intake. She’s also noticed that her skin has cleared up.
  • Suzanne: While she’s not sure whether it’s the lack of caffeine, sugar, or wheat, Suzanne has noticed a huge improvement in her skin during the cleanse. She also mentioned that itchy skin symptoms returned after she had a “slip up” cup of coffee over the weekend.

A Great Tool for Learning

While the 10 day program is a wonderful tool for getting your health and nutrition back on track, it’s also an incredible learning tool that can teach you certain dietary restrictions about your body that you otherwise would not know. While you start reintroducing foods back into your diet that were taken out, it’s important to pay attention to the reaction your body is having – including digestion, energy levels, and other symptoms.

During this short and relatively easy cleanse, you may realize that you have a gluten or dairy sensitivity, that you are addicted to sugar or caffeine, or a nearly endless list of other health and nutrition guidelines for yourself. These learnings should be implemented into your daily routine so that you can be the best version of you, every day moving forward.
