Why We Love diVa™ Laser Vaginal Therapy
It’s no secret that almost every part of our body changes as we age, and the vagina is no exception. From childbirth to menopause, women’s bodies go through a lot of challenges, but vaginal discomfort no longer needs to be one of them. diVa laser vaginal therapy is a favourite among our female patients for plenty of good reasons:
- diVa laser therapy is a non-surgical procedure with no downtime, no discomfort, and no anesthesia needed
- diVa effectively increases lubrication and reduces pain during intercourse, incontinence, and vaginal discomfort, and more
- Sessions are quick—5 to 8 minutes and you can get right back to your busy day
- Most patients can achieve optimal results with just three diVa treatments
- diVa laser results don’t just improve physical health, they bring back a sense of confidence that comes from feeling your very best
- diVa treatments are highly customizable, so we can adapt to your personal symptoms, age, and desired results and tailor a treatment plan that’s designed just for you
What is diVa™ Laser Vaginal Therapy?
Created by Sciton, the world-renowned medical laser maker, diVa laser vaginal therapy uses revolutionary Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) technology to resurface the layers of the vaginal wall, replacing it with brand new, healthy tissue. By increasing layers of glycogen-filled cells and blood supply, your body naturally responds by increasing lubrication.
diVa laser treatments successfully and safely repair, restore, and regenerate the vaginal canal and surrounding tissue that may have suffered damage or change through events like childbirth, hysterectomy, or menopause, all of which can diminish vaginal health and function.
Who is diVa™ Laser Vaginal Therapy For?
Every woman is unique, but we can all agree that age-related changes to the female anatomy can take their toll as far as physical comfort and self-confidence goes. diVa laser vaginal treatment effectively treats some of these common symptoms that affect female health:
- Vaginal dryness
- Pain during intercourse
- Urinary leakage (from sneezing, coughing, laughing, or exercising)
- Vaginal itching and discomfort
- Weakened pelvic floor
diVa laser quickly, safely, and effectively restores your vaginal tissue and natural secretions, making you more comfortable, whether you’re experiencing an outburst of laughter, a jog in the park, or an intimate relationship—diVa gives you the confidence that comes with feeling like the best version of yourself.
How is diVa™ Laser Vaginal Therapy Performed?
diVa laser therapy might sound too good to be true, but we have the answers to our patients’ biggest questions, including, how does diVa laser work? This quick (less than 10 minutes) procedure takes place in our clinic with a topical anesthetic gently applied to keep you comfortable.
Once the numbing has set in, our expert practitioner will insert the diVa wand into your vaginal canal. It stays in place and the wand rotates to ensure that the laser evenly targets the vaginal tissue.
The single-use strengthened quartz dilator expands and flattens the vaginal tissue using leading-edge hybrid laser technology to deliver two lasers at once. The first laser deeply resurfaces the layers of the vaginal wall, replacing it with healthy tissue. The second laser heats the layer of tissue where collagen exists, tightening tissues, treating urinary incontinence, and increasing elasticity.
What Can I Expect with diVa™ Laser Vaginal Therapy?
diVa laser treatments are not painful and do not require general anesthetic, but topical numbing cream keeps patients comfortable during their treatment.
After your quick and pain-free session, you can get back to your normal activities immediately, with the exception of vaginal sex, which you should pause for 48 hours after your treatment.
How long does diVa laser last? Most patients achieve optimal results in a series of three treatments, each spaced four weeks apart, with one annual treatment to maintain those results.
While most patients don’t experience any unpleasant side effects, there is one that everyone loves: the sense of ease and increased self-confidence that adds an extra spring to your step and a rejuvenated attitude that stays with you long after you leave our clinic.
Complementary Treatments to Enhance diVa™ Laser Vaginal Therapy
Laser vaginal therapy is often done in conjunction with Labiaplasty —a surgical procedure to reshape long or asymmetric labia. Many women choose both procedures as a holistic vaginal rejuvenation treatment plan that leaves them feeling more comfortable with their bodies and with a boost in confidence that comes from loving how revitalized you feel.
