Facial Implants

Cosmetic Facial Implant Surgery

Dr. Buonassisi specializes in surgical facial implants for the cheeks and chin. These implants can be used to add contour and volume to the face. Cheek implants add mid-face volume and chin implants correct a weak lower face.

How Facial Implants Help to Improve Facial Features

As we age, we lose volume in our faces. This contributes to our cheeks looking flatter than they did before, as well as a general loss of that youthful "full" look. Another natural part of the aging process is bone loss. Over the years, this can be especially noticeable in the jaw area. Combined with skin laxity and sagging skin of the lower face, a weak jaw area contributes to an aged look. Chin or pre-jowl implants can be appropriate in some patients when combined with their face lift. This creates more definition to the lower face and a more attractive neck angle on profile view. Some patients are born with a recessive lower face, which can be improved with a chin implant.

Chin Implant with Lower Facelift Surgery

Implants are often used in combination with facelift surgery to help restore our original features. Watch this video to see a case study of Dr. Buonassisi's lower facelift and chin implant patient.

Chin Implant with Rhinoplasty Surgery

Chin implants are commonly combined with rhinoplasty surgery. Watch this video to see a documentary of Dr. Buonassisi's patient who had hump reduction rhinoplasty and chin implant surgery. Both chin and cheek implants come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can enhance your surgical result. They look very natural.
