Blepharoplasty surgery can be performed on the upper and/or lower eyelids to create a more youthful and rested appearance. Most patients take 2 weeks off work and find the recovery to be quite simple. Upper blepharoplasty is performed through an incision in the upper eyelid that is disguised in the natural eyelid crease and once healed is often imperceptible. The approach for lower eyelids blepharoplasty depends on the patent’s age and degree of skin laxity – external lower blepharoplasty is performed through a fine incision just below the lash line, while the internal lower blepharoplasty approach is done through an incision inside the lower lid.
Browlift surgery repositions brows to a natural, attractive looking position. It is important to be properly addressed to determine if the concerns you have with your eyelids and eye area are related to the eyelids themselves, or the position of your brows. In many cases the traditional coronal approach (which involves a large hairline incision and has a long revovery period) can be forfeited for a less invasive approach. The direct browlift approach is performed through tiny incisions hidden in natural creases in the upper forehead. The minimal incision browlift approach is performed through tiny incisions in the hairline.
